Stay Open for New Opportunities

Keep an Open Mind

Before going to Europe on business, a man drove his 63 split window Corvette to a downtown New York City bank and went in to ask for an immediate loan of $10,000 The loan officer requested collateral. The man said, well then, here are the keys to my Corvette. The loan officer promptly had the car driven into the bank's underground parking garage for safekeeping, and gave him 10,000. Two weeks later, the man walked through the bank door, asked to settle up his loan and get his car back.

"That will be $10,000 in principal and $15.40 in interest", the loan officer said. The man wrote out a check and was given the keys to his Corvette back.

As the man walked away the loan officer said, "wait sir, while you were gone, I found out you were a multimillionaire. Why in the world would you need to borrow $10,000?

The man smiled. "Where else could I park my Corvette where it was safe in Manhattan for two weeks and pay only $15.40?"

Opportunities Abound

This is more than just a funny story. It uncovers the fact that the wealthy see things differently than other people. They filter everything they come across for possible opportunities. Then, they take action. If you want to start to perceive new opportunities, pick up a copy of my Wealth Accumulation System. It will help you train your brain to think and see opportunities where it used to see problems. Challenges where it used to see dead ends. To pick up your copy, go here today.

One new idea can change everything. That single new opportunity could lead to your financial breakthrough and put you on a path to lasting wealth.

I am reminded of a story from my youth, working for my family's building supply business on Long Island, New York. The business was closely tied to the construction market, so when construction was up, business was good. But, when construction was down, so was the business.

The mid to late 70's were a down time for the industry. I can remember what now seems like a stream of people coming into the showroom sharing their tales of grief.

Customers would complain that no one was getting work done to their homes. Vendors would gripe that sales were down. Heck, even the sale person for the local newspaper would come in and complain that people weren't advertising.

Complaints. Griping. Whining.

These are not the words of successful people. If you want to be successful, you've got to clean up your language. Adopt the language of winners.

Look for new opportunity. When one door closes, another one opens. For example, in the 1970's when you wanted your kitchen remodeled, you hired a contractor. Now, when you want your kitchen remodeled, you go to Home Depot and buy the stuff you need to do it yourself.

Home Depot (and Lowes, etc.) have prospered by finding a solution to other people's problems:

Suppliers who couldn't sell their goods started using them as a warehouse/clearance center.

They provided Homeowners who couldn't afford to hire out the work a resource to get the supplies for discounted prices and learn how to do the installation themselves.

They rented trucks to folks who needed a vehicle to bring the materials home in.

And, as a result, they created jobs - tens of thousands of jobs for hard working people.

Same situation, very different result. All driven by a different way of looking at things. My Wealth Accumulation system is designed to teach you to develop a different perspective - a winning mindset. Sign up today and learn how you overcome negative thinking and turn lemons into lemonade. And there's a bonus: You can apply these concepts to other areas of your life as well!

There is power in your words.

  • Use them as tools, not weapons.
  • Use them to empower, not tear down.
  • Use them to overcome, not submit.
  • Use them to achieve your goals and dreams and figure out what God has in store for your life.

All the best,
